If you can’t see the “Accounts” option under the Calendar options, you will be unable to unsubscribe from the ECAL Calendar straight away. But don’t worry, you just have to follow a few easy steps to make the “Accounts” option come up on your device.
Go to Settings
- Go to the Calendars option
- Click ‘Add Account’
- Select ‘Other’
- Select ‘Add CalDAV Account’
In this section, you need to create a mock account on your iPhone to allow you to access the right section to delete your ECAL Calendar.
- Add in a mock server: mock.com
- Add in a mock username: mock
- Add in a mock password: mock
- Click Next
- This will bring up a popup stating “Cannot Verify Server Identity”
- Click Continue
- This will bring up a popup saying “Cannot Connect using SSL”
- Click Continue
- This will bring up a popup stating “CalDEC account verification failed”.
- Click OK
- In the top right hand corner, click Save
- Continue to click Save where prompted
This will then add your mock account. You will then be taken back to the Calendar section in your settings.
- Click ‘Accounts’
- Click ‘Subscribed Calendars’
- Locate the ECAL calendar you are subscribed to (Most likely the publisher name)
- Click this Calendar name
